TMO

Post by whatisthejava »

Hey has anyone heard about a directive about the TMO awarding tries,

I Know Simon McDowell is a useless bag of shite and some of his decisions in the past are incompetent at best and corrupt at worst but he awarded two tries that you could not see clear evidence of grounding but the TMO in the Wales game also decided that Amos was in control of the ball even though he may have been in contact with it he was certainly not in control of it.

IS this a move for TMO to give benefit of the doubt back to the attacking team or just bad calls ?

I've given Samoa their dues on the match thread but those two tries being awarded against us were a complete farce.

Re the Amos try, all you need is contact, you don't need control; re McDowell ... it's McDowell, the only surprise was that he wasn't constantly in the ref's ear about possible foul play by white.

TMO speciifically said Amos had control , which is why i mentioned it

but i thought if you were not in control you needed downward pressure, saying Amos was in control meant they could give it

Seems a little dubious to me

If Samoa had scored another try Scotland could rightly moan about the gifting of 2 tries

Wales and Oz have less to complain about as they both had a try awarded that shouldnt have been

At the time, I just shrugged, had a sip of beer, and thought - McDowell, what a cunt.

I like to think you do that every single time you have a sip of a pint.

Thought that since Paris 2005. Although he probably was one before that.
