What the fucking hell is that? Is that real? That’s such a fucking stupid idea.
It’s practically like giving each captain a yellow card they can use on whomever they want.

Moronic. Wonder why SA rugby is in disarray if this is what is going on at lower levels.

Re: Power play
Loosely related to the topic ...
It's a shame we haven't played SA this year. Their forward power scares me with our injury list but it's still a monkey we need to get off our back and with the state of SA rugby at the moment we wouldn't have had a better chance than this year AIs or summer tour.
The last win was in the Robinson era. VC lost both tests against them. One with a weakened team and the other in the RWC - overpowered up front and battered in the tight in both. I'd like to have seen how VC got on against them towards the end of his reign & how Toony might approach that now.

Yup. We’ve made massive strides, but there’s still the fear that even a poor (but enormous) SA or France could bonk our forwards into submission. I’d really like to see how Townsend approaches that too.

Noted that this year, the Macphail Scholarship is sending three young hopefuls to.. South Africa, instead of NZ.

Any idea why they've changed it to SA?

I'm guessing it is cheaper and meant they could send three. Pure speculation thoughChunks Baws wrote:Tobylerone wrote:Noted that this year, the Macphail Scholarship is sending three young hopefuls to.. South Africa, instead of NZ.

Anything to do with your new entrants in to the Pro 14? Being in a similar time zone must also make things easier.
