I think the young Saffa has work to do on his basics bit he's a feisty fella. Handing off half the weeg front row there.

When are club & country going to start taking Brown's repeated head injuries seriously?

What an overreaction from Gilchrist and McKenzie who weren't even on the receiving end of that?
Not sure why Fusaro was carded? Just a wee pat on the head...

Dr Robson and his staff are seriously switched on when it comes to concussion and IIRC he sets the standards for Weeg and Embra to follow.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:When are club & country going to start taking Brown's repeated head injuries seriously?
IMO it is far more likely they take Brown off earlier than they might with others rather than them ignoring a serious issue.

IIRC when he hit the deck, he didn’t even bang his head. Ref was unsighted I think - touch judge should perhaps have mentioned it, but medical staff just came in anyway, which was good to see.Big D wrote:Dr Robson and his staff are seriously switched on when it comes to concussion and IIRC he sets the standards for Weeg and Embra to follow.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:When are club & country going to start taking Brown's repeated head injuries seriously?

Edit to add that as much as the commentators said it was decent, I thought the match was error strewn and pretty low on quality.

Not looking very good for the 6 nations. The injuries have stretched us very bare.

When’s the squad named? I’d just like to reassure myself that the replacement front row options aren’t all that bad!Adder wrote:Not looking very good for the 6 nations. The injuries have stretched us very bare.

Two committed sides but low on quality all round. Still far too many errors.
Brown might well need to take an extended break before his career is in jeopardy. Every game.
McInally, Fagerson Jr, Jonny Gray, Bill Mata and DVDM get plus marks.

I feel like he was rushed back because Glasgow had a crisis at hooker. Just my hastily concluded 2 cents.Big D wrote:Dr Robson and his staff are seriously switched on when it comes to concussion and IIRC he sets the standards for Weeg and Embra to follow.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:When are club & country going to start taking Brown's repeated head injuries seriously?

Being unsporting. It was baiting. Agreed on the overreaction, but if you are going to act the cunt, and look for that reaction, I’d happily see that carded more often.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:What an overreaction from Gilchrist and McKenzie who weren't even on the receiving end of that?

Those aren’t the words of a scrum-half. Are you drunk?Edinburgh in Exile wrote:Being unsporting. It was baiting. I agree that it's unsporting but it literally happens every other scrum. There was no need to card him. Shoving someone full pelt in the pack when you had nothing to do with said "pat" however...? That's far more serious IMO.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:Being unsporting. It was baiting. Sorry cat man saw this late. I take your point, still, act the cunt, get treated like a cunt. I don’t see why anyone would have sympathy for it.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:I agree that it's unsporting but it literally happens every other scrum. There was no need to card him. And aye Woot, I was hosed when I posted that.
A late happy new year to both of you fuds.
