Glos a bit sub par last night up against a very good, committed Pau side who were good value for the win.
Vellacott looked just a bit tentative to me. Didnt seem to have his usual zip.

He looked below par, possibly due to the pressure and speculation around him. Made some horrible kicks as well. Hopefully all a learning experience.fivepointer wrote:Glos a bit sub par last night up against a very good, committed Pau side who were good value for the win.

I think this match was the first time i actually saw Sarmitage do what he was feted for. Certainly was the more prominant of the england-capped players playing 8.

That's the most pressure glos have been under all season, pau were in our faces for 80, never let defense or attack settle and found the cracks as a result. Better team won. Pressure showed for vellacot I think, he normally comes on after 50/60 against tiring defences, he had no room last night at all. He will learn massively from that. Morgan and Moriarty were disappointing and the Pau back row had us on toast. Polledri has a real turn of pace, great line for his consolation a the end. Home unbeaten run now gone, but we're still in the QF's
