......and at this particular point in time, with the particular circumstances around this squad, its a brave person, and man especially, who'd take it on tbh. I do think that it is a trickier role than many, simply because of the conditions.
Was the information readily available at the time of posting?

Baroness Campbell's comments were posted a couple of days after Neville was appointed.

I can't be expected to trawl through dozens of articles before needing to react to news in an impulsive manner. This is Sparta, I mean this is the internet

Oh and Ben Stokes is going down. Hanging is too good for him...public crucifixion or they may as well let him off!
Trial by social media is the new thing isn’t it. Who cares about facts, law and rubbishing reputations when their is personal opinion to be aired and action to demand :D
Like the fact that Ben Stokes assaulted someone?

Like many people's personal opinion that Phil Neville is not the right person for the job?

Indeed, people have to be careful passing opinion and making comments these days, especially online. Readers of such comments may take comments made in jest too seriously.

We could just ban comments and opinions from the internet, but then that would just leave porn and online terrorism websites.

But many of the clubs in these leagues are owned by gentlemen who, by background, have only recently and reluctantly agreed to allow women to actually drive to a football stadium and go in to watch a game.
Times are a changing Sarge.

Prepare to lose a nut ;)

Indeed people should be careful passing opinion, and also watch for taking general comments too personally. I’m making a general point about the hang em high, bandwagon jumping nature of social media, which can hugely damaging. Perhaps it’s a bit old fashioned to respect the law and due process. Of course you can’t ban comments or opinions, and I guess ignoring fatuous or ill thought out ones is the way forward, or indeed calling them out; there is no question of the influence of social media, but there’s a generation out there who are falling foul of its' sometimes pernicious nature.
