I think the last sentence is pretty much it. He’s also on a good wage for what is a part time job. As much as I tout him, he’s also pretty old school and very laid back. I’m not sure he’d fit in in a pro environment. Add all that to him loving the club and the town, and I can’t see him leaving.
Plus I don't know he'd know what to do with a squad that didn't disassemble every summer and require him to build anew.

I also like the look of Ben Ward of Ealing as having good coaching potential
I know nothing of him, but the fact that Ealing are even close to Bristol is impressive, especially considering where they came from.

I believe Ealing have easily the second largest wage bill in the Champ. The guy who owns Trailfinders has lumped loads of money in. They are pretty much where they should be.

Didn't know that, just knew they were doing well, and IIRC only recently promoted to the Champ

Yep, only their second season, and third in four after coming up and going straight back down. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. Huge, relatively, wage bill and an average crowd of 700. This all assumes the rumours of the size of the wage bill are true.

Looks like I picked the right day to take the kids up along the Ridgeway!

Issues in the scrums are not new, there is a reason we signed a few new props and hookers recently and supposedly have more coming. The rumours that Bakewell will be off at the end of the season has not been unwelcome either....

It wasn't just the scrum either. Poor options, even poorer execution of the simplest of moves and dire tackling. Very disappointing.
