If I'd have remembered to pick a captain, that would have been a very good week. If I'd have picked from my usual suspects, it could have even been an excellent week :(.

It is an odd one. I worked out that my points total would be almost the same if I had just left my initial lineup from round 1. If I’d left that alone and only made changes for injuries, I would be better off!

Still, I’ve definitely learned a few lessons this season and I’d expect to do better next season.

Anyway ...

One week you'd think I'd be able to make just one change and not take a 20 point hit. On the plus side, have brought 3 new players in, and picked up Ford.

Managed to drop just one again, but keep finding myself diluting my side. Struggled to get a full 23 of involved players.

A lot of rotation this week!

Had to prune the crap out of my squad to get a side out and sacrifice 60 points.

That surprises me to hear - this week was the first in a while where I wasn't picking in extremis. I actually had choices! I still had to make a transfer to get a full XXIII, but it was at least a 1-for-1.

I'm thinking I'll try a clear out and take a points hit later in the season. For now I'll keep trying to make do.

Same (except 40 points). I'm happier than perhaps I should be to take a hit on points.

Was annoying as thought I should be in a good spot, but it just takes a couple of players to be rotated out + the odd injury to screw you. I've got something like 7 second rows, yet couldnt fill a sub's bench! I'd also managed to somehow collect three injured hookers.

I made the late decision to bench Watson and start Adams. I chose poorly

You can see the team of the person who's been drawn against you in the cup now, which I don't think you could last week. Luckily, my opponent seems to have given up picking his team, as he's got Saili at 12 and 4 other players who aren't playing this weekend. So hopefully I shan't lose!

Yeah - it was similar for me. I thought I’d cut 4 but it was actually 5, so I’ve dropped 80 points.

I’m a long way off the leading pack so it doesn’t really matter, but I think my squad is better for it and I should have a few more back from injury after the European games.

So far taking the 20 point hit to put Ford in my team as kicker and captain has properly failed!

For anyone still playing seriously, don’t forget to update your teams.

I was pleasantly surprised with the side I’ve been able to pick this weekend given the 6N absentees.

Same - although I messed it up horribly by taking the money from Ben Youngs' sale and investing in Marcus Smith (yay!) and Jeremy Thrush - who's not actually playing - rather than buy another back three player to cover Watson and Adam's absences. Disappointing.

Decided not to take the 20 point hit, and not have a player involved, but then noticed that Wilson isn't playing either, so missed out there, could have covered him without needing another player too annoyingly (the risk of setting up a guess lineup first, then modifying, rather than doing the whole thing from scratch).

Easy win in the cup though, even without todays fixture, outside of some crazy result. Think I've done quite well in the league too.

I’ve had an OK weekend so far despite a 0 from Koch and a late drop-out from Spencer.

I’ve got 7 players starting today so I’m hoping for a 400+ haul this weekend.

Picked Steenson as my kicker and captain. Pretty much sums up my efforts so far!

I ended-up scoring 499 which was a very good haul considering that it included two 0s and a 3.

I only have one from that list as well - surprisingly Will Witty, who's been generally disappointing.

Had to sell expensive players again to put out a XXIII - lost Lawes and Ford this week to bring in 4 new players (and still had a 4 non-starters and 1 not playing on the bench). My squad size is now ridiculous - every time I sign someone, they either injure themselves that game or lose favour and are never heard of again. Apologies to Obano, Koch, Collins, Purdy, Wilson, Rowlands, Alo, Perenise, Yeandle, and Mapapalangi, all of whom have been dropped or injured shortly after me signing them and who are still lingering in my squad due to my inability to have a free week to start transferring out dead wood. Jack Willis is next on the chopping block as one of my signings this week, so sorry to anyone who had England hopes for him.

For the first time in ages, I’ve got a choice in most positions. My squad is largely solid rather than spectacular so I’ve been thinking the next few weeks may be their time to shine.

Just got knocked out I believe, rather annoying since I'm doing fairly well overall. Still can't get to the top of our league though!

You bastard. I'm blaming you, and you alone, for his injury
