Noticing a pattern.
EJ has got the team to hit the ground running and play their set moves from minute one.
No fannying about trying to hit some grey benchmark when some sort of dominance or whatever is reached.
For many years, with different coaches and regimes I always thought that we looked like cricket batsman who wanted to play themselves in.
EJ does use a few cricketing metaphors. Mentions 20/20.
It looks to me like the game plan is to go for all your killer moves or flair play book the first chance you get, to get a lead, to take the points, to challenge the mind set of players and opposition, rather than be conservative and do the accepted thing of playing yourselves in.

Only we then go flat.
TBF the defence then smothers everything, but we seem to go flat for too long.
The change in pace between "game management" and "playing to score" is very clear.
