Great news,Stones of granite wrote:So, Wilson's citing was rejected by the disciplinary committee.
I know I give Nigel quite some stick but he does tend to have a fairly sensible hat on when stuff like this happens, I wish the citing guys also had that sensibleness also
Also - I think if it had been anyone except Sir Own Farrle Knight of the Rose Lord of all then someone would have made more of it
but perhaps im just paranoid

Superb news. If it was ever going to be flagged then Hughes should have been as well.

From beeb:
It found that Wilson "had committed an act of foul play in that he had made contact (with two of his fingers) with the eye area of his opponent".
However, the committee "accepted medical evidence submitted on the player's behalf that, due to a pre-existing injury, two of his fingers were involuntarily in a bent or hooked position".
They "also considered that the contact with the eye area had been reckless (rather than intentional), light and fleeting, and had come about as a result of the player's attempts to grab his opponent's shirt during an off-the-ball scuffle".

you'd think he'd be a bit more careful in the eye area!Big D wrote:From beeb:

It's strongly implied that they're our fans but not 100%. C*nts whoever it is either way. Hope they can be identified through CCTV and banned from rugby.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:Eeeesh, see that shit with Eddie Jones outside the station in Manchester. Fucking twats.

I mean there's no physical abuse in that but it's certainly grim viewing. Maybe he felt it could have turned physical.

He didn't look like he had agreed to or was comfortable having the original photo taken either.

Just as well EJ didn`t try to push these dickheads away, that could have been even more embarrassing than it already is.

One of them has a Cruise Fashion shopping bag. Not aware of one of those shops in Manchester, so he has quite possibly brought it down from Scotland or lives down there and has gone out with his best cardboard bag so he has somewhere to put his cans of Relentless. Jakey fud.
Surely social media won’t find it difficult to start a thoroughly deserved witch hunt for this bunch?

It'd be nice if the team/captain came out saying how unacceptable it is, I'd really like to see that.Big D wrote:Yup. Cunts will be cunts etc. Shame those cunts are Scottish.ARM wrote:No excuses for that shit but suspect those lads have never been to a rugby game in their life.General Zod wrote:

As for the ****s hassling Jones. I doubt they were rugby fans but what a bunch of knobs., but you seem to be saying that the Eng team for last Saturday were a poor imitation of their normal selves and that there are lots of better teams based on that England performance. If so, then fair enough. Our first half display was fecking appalling and our second half barely acceptable.
I actually think that performance will give some of those Eng boys the rocket they need , same thing happened to the 90 and 2000 team.

Scumbags. Hope if they are involved in rugby they are chased from their club and banned from Murrayfield.
However, a lot of the 'gracious in defeat' masks have slipped after this. You cant take the moral high ground when you follow up any condemnation of this behaviour with xenophobic comments.
Some absolute cunts follow rugby these days.
