All 4 or below, with the exception of Mako who gets a 6.

How Kruis made it to 70 minutes is a mystery, as was Armand only coming on with minutes to spare.
Thought Mako had a good game and Sinckler didnt shirk a thing. Off the bench Brown showed far more spirit than many who started.
Wiggy was pedestrian to an embarassing degree.

There are a few OAPs wandering around Eastbourne market who will take umbrage at this comparison.

Wiggy has been the perfect selection at SH - for our opponents. He's perfect. No breaking game, no creativity, slavish devotion to needless kicking and a service so slow its almost glacial.

Some thoughts:

1.Time Haskell retired from test rugby (and for me he’s always been miscast at openside).

2.For me Kruis struggles at test level I think the gulf between him and Launch,Lawes,Itoje goes on widening.Too similar to Borthwick for comfort.

3.Sam Simmonds doesn’t have the power and shear size/ballast to convince me he’s a credible No.8 option. Hope Exeter play him more at openside because his undoubted skillset, pace and work rate, could make him a fantastic test openside in due course.

In general Mako aside, all of our forwards lack penetration in the carry - injuries to Billy and Hughes have been shown how short we are of penetrative carriers in the pack. Also Teo hasn’t quite made the impact as a carrier Eddie appeared to be relying on.

Owen Farrell - 7

Could be heard calling plays in every corner of the stadium on a day when England needed leaders. Perfect grubber for Daly try but two-faced performance overall. Kick into Haskell’s head the comedy foil to occasional moments of brilliance.

Kruis did not have a great game, but probably our top tackler today. That said there wasn’t one pundit who didn’t have him as a nailed on Lions starter, based on his performances on the test arena.

However agree, both starting locks were pretty pants today

Trying to thaw out, but thought Daly was very good. Should play 13.

Otherwise, not many I’d rate above 5

I’m a Kruis fan, but he was dire today. Bracketing him with Itoje is wrong.

So Daly plays a decent game at 11, neck roll aside, so you’d move him to 13? Ok, makes sense :). I think that will make all the difference;)

This sums it up. He’s lionised for this unquantifiable leadership with no regard for his numerous failings. Unfortunately, alongside Hartley who has similarly and bafflingly been labelled as a great leader, the team has capitulated at the first sign of adversity without any leadership in sight.

You could play BOD at 13 at present and he’d look average. I’d leave Daly where he is, with a little more room and licence to roam.

Not sure I said it’d make all the difference? But it would help improve, along with many other changes in personnel and coaching approach

Changing the OC without changing the quality of ball, and support would only make a difference in defence. In which case, I wouldn't be looking to switch out our best backline defender

Just thought it a strange observation, given all the other issues, given he is a top class 11, and one of few nailed into position, and also given that his defence at 13 at club level has been questionable. It wouldn't have been my first thought to move him from a place where he has performed well. I dont think it would help improve.

If we are to make changes then we should start with that drab looking lot sat there in the coaching area looking clueless in their matching bobble hats

Who would you replace them with. Baxter won’t leave Exeter.

not sure Mells. However I have never felt less inspired than when the camera panned over to our motley group. At no stage did I think; 'this time next year' or 'signs are there of improvement'.......just, what a shower of shyte. though I might be somewhat bias as I never wanted him to get the job in the first place.

Did you not remember what it's like to have the camera pan over Burt's crew in their tracksuits? Or Robinson with Squeaky behind him whispering in his ear?

Thought Daly and Brown showed their worth today. That said a 9 might be somewhat generous.
