Sure did. That’s us surely into the big trophy now as South Korea don’t look much cop. Game against South Africa should be a good one. Not sure which pool we’ll end up playing in the next round.

Ah - yes I do. If we get through in the big cup, it’s one of the top two of Kenya, Australia, Spain or Canada.

Fiji v Samoa to finish the day looks fun.

Ah. Didn’t think about the “top three with 2 wins each” scenario. Anyway, lost by 14 to SA and battered SK 61-7.

So, if SA win, we’re through.
If it’s a draw, we’re through.
If england win by 7, we’re oot. England have a player called Will Wilson, which isn’t remotely silly.
If england win by 17, we’re through.

Anyway, england leading by a point with 4.20 left.

Oh no they don’t.

19-15 SA. Scottish ref referred that SA try to the video ref. What’s he even thinking?

I thought that match was going to be a bit bi-polar for me the way England started.

Embarrassed by the South Africans in the first match. Thankfully they never took the foot off against South Korea to make it harder for England.

Don’t know much about 7’s, and hate to do it, but I’m not a big fan of how this ref is riding Scotland.

The ref was shite mate. Allowing the game to continue after the head/neck injury was very poor.

Not only allowing the game to continue around the player receiving head/neck injury treatment, he allowed the USA to restart play with a tap penalty without a sub being allowed on.
Horne was denied a try after being brought to ground in a completed tackle. Correctly penalised for not releasing but his frustration was clear as 9 refs out of 10 would have allowed to him to continue as "not held".
As for penalising the smallest guy in the tournament for a high tackle, FFS come on. Even if it was on the similarly diminutive Carlin Isles.

Something to keep an eye on with Horne is whether he decides to try and make the Olympic squad which he'll be capable of. May impact the Scotland 15s team for a season.

Two good results this morning but easy oppo. The real test will be SA at lunchtime.

Not really sure how it works after the pool stages...
