Immense performance from the Falcons pack. Stuffed in the Scrum but on top in the loose from start to finish.

Really pleased for Falcons. That was a very dodgy try though ...

Think he probably got it first time, and no one tackled him, so perfectly entitled to stand up and score it again. Was it on the whistle? I'm hoping Pearce remembers the Wasps Saints game where Robson scored a perfectly good try, but Pearce told him no, since he'd blown the whistle (not Pearce's fault, linesman made the wrong call).

Nice to see a little sympathy and try given.

God can't wait for thompson to arrive huge upgrade on Hamilton who offers feck all outside consistent tackler doesn't go over the ball or carry.

Got to say although MOC isn't an upgrade glad Cockers and Mauger went if only for releasing Goneva to sign JPP......

I don't think it's a bad thing Leicester weren't able to paper over the cracks

Indeed - happy to see the Falcons doing well, if annoyed at it having to us they beat. Really hoping Exeter will thump Sale or next week is going to be even more worrying than it is now. Sod that play-offs; I'm concerned about qualifying for Europe!

One thing which no-one seems to have mentioned, I thought the yellow for Kalamafoni was harsh. He didn't know what day of the week it was after that clash of heads, let alone that he was stumbling back through the 9-10 channel. Fair enough to give a penalty as it stopped a good Newcastle attack, but to call it deliberate assumes he knew what he was doing at the time.

Last season, Toulouse failed to make the play-offs for the first time in 40 something years - a catastrophe! However, they've turned things around this season and are in the mix once again. Tigers, however, may struggle to get back next season unless there are some changes at the top, including a new coach/DOR, or whatever O'Connor's job title is.

It was a yellow card offence on how it effected falcons. Not Pearces place to decide concussion.

Great result for Falcons. Tigers had the upper hand and conceded it but there's no denying the tremendous resilience and character shown by Newcastle.
Losing 3 players early on would have undone most sides.
Thought Wilson and Graham in the back row were outstanding.

It'd be a great excuse for getting away with cynical plays too

Indeed! Tigers back row came a distant second last night and these two may have earned seats on the way plane to South Africa.

Wilson deserves it after his showing in Argentina.

I think that was a very tough call on the try but what didn’t seem so obvious on the replay is Hogg gets up and starts celebrating after the first attempt then dives again as he sees the whistle hasn’t gone yet. I’d be inclined to think it was legit. Tough on Leicester though.

That young Falcons prop did well considering what he was up against. Also, it was so refreshing to come across a forwards' coach with a brain. "They are more powerful than us so get the ball in, get it out and move it."

It's not rocket science but why do so few (if any) sides with physically inferior scrums do it?

Ego's coaches and players want to be stronger and it's hard to do on the whole especially since hooking was out the window for a while,

Agreed - by the strict letter of the law and the question the ref asked, it shouldn't've been a try as there was no angle to show the initial grounding. However, had the game ended on that note, it would've been unfair as Hogg's reaction clearly showed he got it down and so, while technically it's a shocking decision and the ref needs shooting, it's probably a fair outcome.
