Rugby has definitely been a winner today.
Cracking game…
Feel for Exeter, I think they should have found a way to close it out though

Yeh, I couldn't sort myself out a stream and had to listen. Luckily I'll get to watch Saints being bulldozered by Sarries, as I do have SkyGo..........p/d wrote:This.Freks wrote:God, this has been a sensational game! I am gutted for Exeter, but fair play to Wasps. Wow.
Bloody brilliant to watch

I'm sure they'll learn from this and build on it, they're too good not to. Wouldn't want to be in their dressing room right now, they must be crushed.Renniks wrote: Feel for Exeter, I think they should have found a way to close it out though

Bench won that for us. That's the positive of having an international flanker playing at hooker to come on for you. Must have carried 80+ metres in about 30 minutes.
Thomas Young is playing unbelievable at the moment. Would walk into that england back row if qualified. If he doesn't go on tour with Wales you really have to question Gatland's credentials.
Daly under his own posts was the moment of the match for me.

Unbelievable post-match interview from Baxter. Real cool head.

Thrilling game. Hats off to both teams for producing a minor classic. Exe perhaps should have got home once they got in front but credit to Wasps for the way they stayed in the game and scored at the end.
Rob Baxter showed yet again that he is all class.

The man is pure class and you can see why Chiefs are more than the sum of their parts.padprop wrote:Unbelievable post-match interview from Baxter. Real cool head.

That game emphasised why RU is the top sport. No scrum resets, no posy kicking hang-ups and no yellow cards. Skill throughout the positions and carrying with a purpose other than to injure. Wonderful!

Saints/Sarries game looks hilarious in it's crapness following that.

After a scrum to wasps on their five metre line it was a mess at the base and the ball was past over Daly's head in the dead ball area, with him picking it up just before it crossed the dead ball line. He then skinned 3 Exeter players from behind his line, went onto run 60 metres and admittedly giving Piatau an awful pass, but I still think it changed the game.TheNomad wrote:Missed that - what happened?padprop wrote: Daly under his own posts was the moment of the match for me.

He's ridiculously talented. Has outplayed JJ this year by some distancepadprop wrote:After a scrum to wasps on their five metre line it was a mess at the base and the ball was past over Daly's head in the dead ball area, with him picking it up just before it crossed the dead ball line. Exeter Chiefs need to be more ambitious with who they sign. Only so far players who give 100% will get you tbh.

they probably need a marquee signing or two, but I like their development strategy for the long term. They are still learning to walk tbh.Doorzetbornandbred wrote:Exeter Chiefs need to be more ambitious with who they sign. Only so far players who give 100% will get you tbh.

I think both Wasps and Exeter have a distance to go after that match. Great game for a neutral, but their respective DoRs probably have issue with a number of things their teams did and didn't do

Just caught bits of this between work, but great game to watch for a nootril. What are Wasps chances against Saracens (good, I hope)?

Think they'll have a hard time compared to the mashing they gave sarries during the 6N. Sarries are a quality unit.morepork wrote:Just caught bits of this between work, but great game to watch for a nootril. What are Wasps chances against Saracens (good, I hope)?

Only because NZ did not have the wit to pick him. The perfect bencher - covers 15, 13 and wing (and good enough to start too). I think they were pissed off that he signed to play abroad and leave NZ after the RWC. He certainly would have been a better choice than that wing who had barely recovered from a broken leg (can't remember his name).Mikey Brown wrote:And that bloke couldn't get in the AB's RWC squad?

They certainly threw a massive hypocritical tantrum in not picking Piutau.
Waisake Naholo is the broken legged one who was picked in his place. Used magic tea leaves or something to claim he was all better. Result is that he played all of five minutes in the RWC and promptly fractured the same bone in the same leg in the first game of SR.
No more magic tea leaf malarkey this time.
