Frustration at Barnes aside. The game started well, but whilst the pace has kept up the accuracy of both sides has gone to the dogs.

Again, ref aside though, Tigers have ratcheted it up at half time and the difference in quality at 10, with Manu and Veanu outside, is starting to tell.

Anyone who wants to look at why we struggle internationally at the break down should have a watch of the free for all that Barnes has allowed Tigers today.

That’s the opposite of why England have struggled. Normally there is a lot less competition allowed in the Prem than in other leagues and at international level. If all Prem referred like this then the Eng players would be more used to how test matches are reffed.

That’s my point. The refs at int level give the defending team a lot more leeway to affect the the turnover.
