Willis was very good. It seems to be his default position. Didnt think Graham was that far behind. I can see both going to SA.
In a sane world so would Cipriani. His play is just on another level. Be a terrible shame if he moves to France and we lose him from the Premiership.

I think there'll be jaws dropping all over the country if Cips went to SA. Wouldn't put it past Eddie to actually name him just for sheer badness, nothing surprises me about him any more. Then again, it'll never happen.

No, it won't but, oddly enough, I think it might if we had a half-decent, conventional IC. What it amounts to is that we will soldier on with a compromise 10/12 combination that won't embarrass our lack of a quality SH. That compromise is a negative one, IMO, because Robson and Cipriani could take us up a level.Beasties wrote:I think there's be jaws dropping all over the country if Cips went to SA. Slade's leg break came at a bad time. Maybe, just maybe, had things worked out differently (the winning streak breaking earlier etc.), Jones would have made the right changes at the right time. Now, we have (reportedly) all sorts of glowing enthusiasm because Ford has had one good match for his club. Cipriani has been good all season.

Robson/Cips have outshone Young’s/Ford in every facet of play this season, but it doesn’t matter to Eddie. He won’t do without Fazlet so the pairing inside really doesn’t matter.Oakboy wrote:No, it won't but, oddly enough, I think it might if we had a half-decent, conventional IC. As good as Robson is, I’d like to see him play test rugby before deciding he is the answer. He’s looked as fallible as both Youngs and Care, to me.

Agreed. However, in whatever order, the three of them should have been regular squad members so that the 6N debacle with Wigglesworth could be avoided. Going down that route, I did not disagree with Wigglesworth starting and Care coming off the bench. I did disagree with ever getting to that state.Mellsblue wrote:As good as Robson is, I’d like to see him play test rugby before deciding he is the answer. Also, whatever else Robson can and cannot do, he gels well with England's best FH at club level!
