Also, and possibly more importantly, Polledri is one hell of a player.
12T had a really good first half - carried well, made the break for the long-range try, made some really good decisions. Then second half, he tackled himself, passed to touch, randomly shot out in defence, and managed to drop the ball forward while doing nothing more strenuous than holding it in both hands. Classic Billy match.

These days, I wouldn't have it any other way. When I was convinced he was Eng's IC I could've killed him.

Does anybody have footage of Ludlow's tackle? I can't find it anywhere. I'm in the process of teaching my eldest how to tackle.....

That was a cracking moment. If you can remember the minute it happened in, I'll try putting a video up on YouTube.

It was a great tackle but was effectively a head being launched at a thigh/knee. Was lucky to come away unscathed.

Thought it was perfect. Shoulder in the mid drift and head at the side of the body.

Barnes playing penalty wang in the main event. Leinster could nick it.

If you want to teach your kid about tackling technique, then the exemplar was Calum Braley's try-saver on Scully. Eyes up, picked his spot, got his head the right side, drove in with his shoulder and kept working to bring him down and into touch. It was the epitome of a textbook tackle and shows you don't have to have your head on the wrong side to stop a man before the tryline (TM George North and Halfpenny).

Didn’t see it or, at least, I don’t remember seeing it. Teaching my son head on tackling. To me Ludlow’s head, shoulder, arms and back positioning were spot on. Position of the back is key at the moment as he’s hitting with his chest rather than shoulder, and I thought Ludlow’s body position was superb. If nothing else, that’s how you time a tackle.

Le roux taking out the French hooker in the la rochelle wasps ricoh game was a good one.

100% agree. Really not on in a final.
