Pool 3
Saracens-Glasgow-Lyon-Cardiff
Pool 4
Montpellier-Newcastle-Edinburgh -Toulon

If the calendars align well, you might be able to get a nice weekend in France.

Glasgow have the better odds.
Edinburgh is playing two of the heaviest teams. It will test their metal and could benefit Scotland.

I think both pools are decent although I prefer Glasgow's chances. It's a long shot but 4 bp wins is not out the question and then see what you can get from Saracens. Obviously could equally lose at least one to each of Cardiff and Lyon.

Edinburgh's is a good test but they match up okay against big packs and then Newcastle share their inexperience. I still reckon they will lack quality in big games but here's a chance to show it (and maybe some good weather)

Few excuses for Glasgow. 2nd should be attainable. Not easy but attainable.

Edinburgh will be better for the experience but won't win many.

Pool 1 is being called the group of death but I don't think that it is. Lenister are obviously the gold standard and wasps are a good side but both Tolouse and Bath are some way from past glories.

All in all if say that the pools are pretty even, with Glasgow probably marginally happier than Edinburgh who face a big ask given the budgets of the two French sides.

Weegies going to step up or have another transitional year?

Weegie squad is weaker than last year with departure of Russell and no signings of note.

Can’t see either Scottish team coming higher than third.
