Fixture list

Post by Gloskarlos »

Is up

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/44682464

Notable for Glaws, Saints up first, we play Exe and Sarries at home on consecutive weeks during the 6N, and the run in doesn't look terrible.

Anyone got beef?

and no London double header....

Opening away to Brizz; following up by playing host to Glaws - well have to hit the ground running.
No excuses.

"The Clash" is against Brizz too!

Second fortnight against Quin's and Saints, so toss a coin to see how those two are going to be; then Ex and Salaries to really test us leading into Europe

That's a crying shame about the London double-header - it was a great way to kick off the season and was a fixture in a lot of London fan's diaries. I know there's only two London clubs now, but surely they could have Quins and Sarries have their opening games there as a double-header. I'd assume its demise is because both of them think that they can run their own promotional games separately.

Bristol vs Bath first game at Ashton Gate should be massive. No reason they can't get 20k+ for that. Odd that the return is the London game though - seems odd to pull both sets of fans out of the West Country.

Have Newcastle named their game at St James's yet?

Quins have refused to have it as a home game for years. It doesn't make any money for the club. Twickenham costs a lot to open and you're splitting gate receipts by 4 and not getting a cut of catering.

It just was not worth it for the clubs and the RFU weren't offering a sizable enough bung for it to continue.

If Newcastle make the same decision to have the St James's game the weekend after the 6N, it looks like it'll be Newcastle vs Sale which is a good game to pick.

Wasps haven't done too well out of this. Not playing any big hitters during the internationals, and have a really tough run in.

Haha. The Prem is just better with Bristol in it.

Brizzle are so rarely in the Prem that's hard to judge

Sadly that is true but it's a new dawn (version 3.1) for us!
