Best guess is something about the CIA trying to off lefty politicians in South America. A shame there were and are people so feckless they thought Trump a better candidate than Clinton, okay Clinton wasn't great but just how thick does one need to be to even consider Trump?

You seem very bitter about the fact that the renowned warmonger Hillary Clinton did not win the election, and that Donald Trump is now winding down America's imperialist designs.

Anyone trying to justify the Trumpets mewlings as actual policy really needs their fucking head examined. Trump is surrounded by people that are pushing for forced regime change in Iran 24/7. He is a fat boom box for Israeli foreign policy. Your cut and paste antics are not just tedious, they are inconsistent with observable fact. Putin has a bizarre influence on Trump for some reason, but using Trump to support Putin is just reedonkulous. Are you happy with the US administration stance on Israel? On Iran?

The past year especially has seen an uptick in such systematic attempts to trace foreign-supplied weapons on the Syrian battlefield, most of them recovered from internationally designated terrorists groups (even ISIS), back to their origination points. We’ve previously detailed a number of these reports, for example: Journalist Interrogated, Fired For Story Linking CIA And Syria Weapons Flights as well as Weapons Went From The CIA To ISIS In Less Than Two Months — the latter based on extensive arms tracking and field forensics research produced by Conflict Armament Research (CAR).

This of course comes as no surprise to anyone here, where an opposition party member has been imprisoned for 24 years after leaking information to the media showing that arms were being sent to Syria via Turkey. Anyone who wants to see an end to the slaughter will be glad that Trump has brought an end to it, however belatedly, and that the warmonger Clinton did not win the election.

Some needs to encourage Putin to watch some of his films before deciding to have him "act" on anyone's behalf.

The rise of conspiracy theory as a career has just been astounding. Huge tech entities run by real life Bond villains host these total fucking mutants that are the love children of right wing ideology and world of warcraft. Now we are infested by them. Some of the shit I have heard some adults passionately give voice to in mundane settings like dinner parties just defies belief. What fuckwits.

This is probably the wrong fred for this, but I mean, just like, fuck man.

A lot of people were involved with the creation of the internet & web, including a late uncle of mine who was a prominent mathematician in the US in the 70s and 80s. That's how I got to go to university there. He became a multi-millionaire and bought a villa in Alhaurin de la Torre just out of Malaga. That's why Spain was my starting point in Europe. I stayed with him there for a while but both he and his wife were gravely ill. He was confined to a wheelchair, in fact, and spent all his days playing extremely complicated computer games.

I'm sure he would have applauded the way that the internet and web are being used today. For much too long corporate and government-controlled media were able to brainwash society. Eastern Europeans used to joke that at least they knew they were being lied to. But many in the West did not. America's wars in East Asia were presented to the West as tragic heroism, for example, when they were nothing more than genocidal rampages based on pure hatred and racism - the same racial hatred which saw them drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki when the Japanese were already beaten and offering terms of surrender. Thanks to the net and web America has not been able to fool anyone as it repeats its hideous crimes across the Middle East, carrying out illegal and genocidal invasions, some of which are approaching two decades in duration, and which have collectively killed millions, wounded, crippled, bereaved, traumatized, dispossessed and disenfranchised many millions more. They have not been able to disguise their liaisons with terrorist states such as Saudi and Israel, and terrorist networks largely of their own creation. Even now they are bombing weddings, schools, hospitals and funerals in Yemen alongside Saudi and with the same terrorist proxies which served them in Syria. America has done to the Middle East what the Nazis did to Europe and the British did to Africa, and this time the whole world knows it. That's why the right-wing redneck brigade is so incensed. Outright war on Syria could not be declared because even Americans had become aware that the destruction of Iraq had been based on a pack of lies. So they tried a more subtle approach, sending in the proxies and arming the terrorists, but their copious propaganda was countered at every turn by the alternative media and courageous journalists such as Seymour Hersh and Robert Fisk. & let us not forget Julian Assange, of course, who not only exposed American war crimes but former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton heinous plans to add Libya to the list of nations the US and its allies have utterly destroyed. & to think, some people would still have preferred this vile war criminal in office to a man who, for all his arrogance, rudeness, sexism and racism (like, invading Middle East countries is not all of those and more) had at least pledged to withdraw support for the rebels/terrorists in Syria, make peace with the Russians, and allow the conflict to finally end (Clinton's agenda was conversely warmongering). And on this count he has delivered. Mashallah!

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Russia is a longstanding ally of Syria and was invited to help defend the country from the US-backed rebels/terrorists, which it did so very effectively (as was duly noted in Washington). Their presence is therefore perfectly legal.

There are also thousands of US and Turkish troops in Syria which were not invited by the recognized government of the nation, making them hostile invaders, whose presence is not legal. & indeed the Americans have bombed those actually fighting the rebels and terrorists more than once.

The Americans, uninvited and operating illegally, slaughtered countless civilians in Syria - approaching genocidal proportions in Raqqa, for instance - but this was called collateral damage and smokescreened with accusations against the Russians - who were invited to help fight the US-backed rebels/terrorists and were therefore operating within international law. In fact, by stopping the US from destroying Syria completely, Russia has achieved an heroic victory over the warmongering empire.
