Always felt there was something deeply suspicious about a lingo that declines the noun :
agricola, agricolae : first FEMININE, a farmer

Have you ever met an Italian man who would lift a finger if there were women around fit to heft a hoe?

Ah Jaysus, now! There'll be no holding the fellah. What a win for the Stabbers.

Holy Mor a Gawd! I’m sure that Paddy’s pants are ruined after the last 10 minutes. What a great day for Limerick.

I’m not sure who Paddy works for, but it might be worth off-loading any shares ye might have in them before the markets warm up tomorrow.

Re: Best solstice ever
The standards across the league and championship so far this year have been pretty dismal, Paddy. I think Tipp may be the least awful of the lot so far, although there were a few sublime moments yesterday in Ennis. That was quite the demolition of the Déise ye pulled off and I still think that Limerick will take some beating this year - but feck the Waterford lads have been off the boil.

Re: Best solstice ever
Waterford are a mess of ego, players and ex management acting the bollocks, feel sorry for supporters in fairness
Tipps direct game trumps limericks tippy tappy stuff but we have youth on our side and could beat them in a 75 minute sweltering hot day but they are rightly favourites, think standards will go up from this week on thankfully

Re: Best solstice ever
We had family over this weekend so I only got watching the first heff on Saturday. Not quite sure why the dog ye showed to beat-up Tipp in the Munster final deserted ye on Saturday.
Yesterday was a real poke in the gubb for those who have previously written Tipp off as bottlers. To keep coming back despite the best efforts of Cleere and his fecking umpires and then to produce that last 20 minutes after John McGrath's idiotic swing of the ash was pretty special stuff.
It was always going to be a big ask to match the quality of last year's championship, but this weekend served up a real feast.

Ah they were great, had all the hurling in the last 15 minutes - Noel McGrath bailed the brother out and Ronan Maher was exceptional. Tipp have the best hurlers glad to see them beat a team that just run around lots with hurleys
Limerick were naive and Green made loads of mistakes and probably didn't start their best team or definitely left it too late to make changes - can't do that against KK

Re: Best solstice ever
He made a very telling comment in the papers yesterday - if ye want to beat Kilkenny by a point, ye've to set out to score five or six more than them.
I know Noel got all of the plaudits, but you're spot on with Ronan; he was superb. I have to say that I thought when we lost Bonner that we could kiss this year cheerio - and you went and rubbed salt in by thumping the shyte out of what was left of us the next weekend - but there seems to be a real knot of determination and quality about the panel. And even John O'D seems to have grown up and dropped the Bubbles.
Liam to stay in Munster.
