So WTF is going on with Glasgow’s signings, or lack of them?

Budget spunked on retaining players and salary increases for more squad players being capped by Scotland?

Or is there a raft of SH types incoming? Any rumours?

Even if there are a raft of SH signings they don't usually click until their second season as they're going straight from 1 season of rugby to another one with no break, holiday or pre-season of any kind.

Having said that... expecting bigger and better things from Kebble and the Nuke next year. Gibbins is excellent and could be even better next season. Shame the RWC is a year too early for him to play for us...

November 3 weekend. Hearing rumours that Glasgow are home to Ospreys (Edinburgh away to Scarlets). Should be some interesting names on the teamsheets that weekend!

You've probably all noticed but Pyrgos has now gone and Nick Frisby (aussie cap) has joined.

Also Wales have appointed Pivac for after the world cup which means they wont take Rennie

"The 2019 ‘Silver Saturday’ event will retain the traditional Cup Finals Day format for the coming season. Fans attending the event will be able to watch the Glasgow Warriors vs Edinburgh Rugby Guinness PRO14 match on big screens at BT Murrayfield as part of the extensive matchday experience."
So the SRU's going to have to take out a subscription to Setanta. Then presumably turn down the commentary of "and Thingy passes to that other guy, and em ... well, neither of these teams are going to pose Munster any problems are they?"

Team for Harlequins friendly named. 30 man squad. Only had a quick glance but noticed Seymour not there. Anyone heard any injury news or anything? Excited about how coming back to form this year

The fact they're starting a relatively small flanker at 8 pretty much sums up the joke that was Glasgow's summer recruitment drive.

Expecting big things from Keble this year. Or at least better than marginal gains.

Also want Flockhart to go well. Not enough youngsters are called Bruce nowadays and it would be good to see him increase the name’s popularity. It’s a strong name and one of Scotland’s best.

Tommy Seymour pulled out of a rugby force day due to a personal issue arising. Hopefully nothing too serious.

That's a green looking team. Only four that I reckon are first choice (Kebble, Cummings, Gray and Johnson), which hegs the question why Gray isn't getting some time off?

Gray had the summer off so may be thought that he would benefit from gametime. Similar with Dunbar etc on the bench

so what do you reckon the chances are of getting hold of a couple of tickets for the sarries game in october?

wanting to come up with a mate that supports sarries, flights and hotel are bargain prices just need to secure a couple of tickets.

Tough. Glasgow have out grown Scotstoun already IMO. And that'll be a big game.

Best bet is to put some feelers out on the Glasgow board. I've purchased a couple of sets of international tickets on there before - they're a good bunch.

Broadly on topic, there is talk of expanding Scotstoun to 12,000.

Looking very costly from Horne/Hastings’ boots judging from the scores.

I guess two points away isn’t awful. But you’d think outscoring a team a 4 to 2 that should be a win.

Phew. Connacht has a penalty at the death which hit the post. Great result to kick off the season.

Connacht played some decent stuff but Weeg finished pretty strongly after spending 30mins in the middle of the match with no ball due to indiscipline. Pack fronted up.

Just watched a little snippit of the Connacht v. Glasgow game. Hogg looks quite podgy. Is it just my imagination or has he bulked up? Would be a shame to lose his searing pace and athleticism.

John Muldoon was on twitter moaning that Hogg took the ball over the dead ball line.

A Connaught man moaning about a bad decision by a ref in the last minute of a game #irony

He was excellent yesterday. Very mature performance. Players will always carry a bit more bulk at this stage of the season as it’s impossible to retain through the season.

Not a great performance. Good maul in attack and defence and were the better team but way too many penalties and shakybin defence. Seemed to be daring Connaught to win it.

I also wasnt convinced by Hogg's putting it down at the end. If he was going to do that he should have tried to evade his men for five more seconds and end the game
