Huzzah - Maunder keeps his place ahead of Townsend!
Not sure about the logic of Wuss dropping Weir after his game against Leicester.

Re: Exeter vs Worcester
The Exeter team continues to look like a real shift in balance away from a team that plays Exeter rugby

Re: Exeter vs Worcester
Perhaps on paper but they were definitely playing ‘Exeter rugby’ last Friday night at Kingston Park.

Re: Exeter vs Worcester
To me they are still set up for Exeter rugby. While size is part of it, it's more about being fitter than the other team so each of your players is having more involvements than their opposite number.
Sam Simmonds gets through a lot more work than most 8s for example. Also, wasn't Kvesic just not fit enough to play the Exceter way last year?
This, coupled with incredible accuracy, makes them so formidable.

Ted Hill. One to watch. Quietly highly effective for England U20s last season.
Wuss won this game last season. I dont expect a repeat.

Re: Exeter vs Worcester
Can't see Warriors getting anything from this…
If we can score a couple of tries, and have a period where we look in control then I'll be happy
I also like that we haven't thrown in the towel and are trying to build this squad out… let's hope it doesn't bite us in the ass when we start having a few too many injuries / players needing to be rested
Lawrence on the bench is good to see & T. Hill starting is great (though, doesn't he usually pack down in the second row)

Definitely. He has a nice hard edge to his game for a youngster and a good all round skill set.fivepointer wrote:Ted Hill. One to watch. Quietly highly effective for England U20s last season.

Exe are the rugby equivalent of "volume fighters" which they do very effectively against most opposition but come off second best against teams like leintser or sarries who have that extra gear.
