No ambition from either side, barely passed to their respective strike runners, even the picks are ponderous, there was one pick play from Hartley done at pace and that wasn't supported

He did. 3 dominant scrums. Good stuff.

The game was messy and error filled. Saints lost out tactically and failed to convert goal line pressure into points. Some criticism of Biggar which i think is fair enough. He and Reinach dont do much to galvanise the attack.

Thought both Fb's did well and Ribbans was easily the best forward on the pitch.

From watching it live, I feel like the majority of Tigers points came from them pouncing on largely unforced errors from Saints. Very uninteresting game to spectate. I'll watch the recording in the morning and see if my.opinion changes

I wouldn't waste your time, if I were you. Very dull game and you've nailed the essence of it in your first sentencd.

I cannot believe Leicester kept taking lineouts to mauls. Yes, Northampton were swinging round offside every single time and Doyle did nothing to stop them, but that's a problem you need to play. It was happening every single time, so why did we *keep* doing it?!

I find it very depressing how far both these clubs have slipped over the last 4ish seasons. The premiership is better with a strong showing from both east mids clubs, unfortunately nether look like providing anything of real quality for at least this season.

I’m fairly hopeful about the future of Tigers on the whole would still sack Cohen and Glynn but I’m happy with the coaching team as a whole and the players that are starting to get game time/being trusted.

If Tigers want more short term gain we need to invest in Some positions.

But considering we have a new coaching team it isn’t that bad.

Actually, to look on the bright side, I was pleasantly surprised to see our defence showing some spine today. Granted, Northampton were hardly the All Blacks, but we at least kept concentrating and made our tackles (Denton aside, who is putting in a run for the Schuster award).

And speaking of bottle, anyone else think Mallinder might have found his. Didn't show a single incident of yellow streak today and slid in to take a ground ball under the feet of a charging Manu, which I think he would've evaded last year. Boyd still needs to have a word with him though about talking to linesmen and referees like that, and that word needs to be DON'T.
