I feel braced for the worst news with regard the Vhnipola’s. They’re both tough buggers, hopefully just an element of precaution.

It sounds dramatic, but if Mako and Billy’s injuries are serious, we can forget about the AIs. With Marler gone for good and Genge and Mullan injured. Hepburn is our next most experienced loosehead with the sum total of two caps. At 8, no Billy, no Simmonds and probably no Hughes would leave us with a debutant (Mercer?), an unlikely recall for Morgan or a flanker playing out of position (Wilson?).

Rugby has just got so stupid. It's not sustainable all these injuries. Really ruins the spectacle.

The more I read about this game and the injuries the more brutal it seems for England’s chances in the Autumn Internationals.

Surely, surely, surely we’re due some luck and Mako, Billy and potentially others are just knocks and will be fine.

"Jamie and Maro both broke their noses.

Makos is a calf injury and Billy has done his arm again.

Big Nick has hurt his calf and ankle and Faz has taken a knock to the knee."

The first game against SA is 19 days away.

That allows virtually no recovery time for anything other than a niggle.

Billy was sat in the stands with ice on his arm. Given his recent history with forearm injuries, I would have thought they’d have whisked him straight to hospital for an x-ray if they thought it was a fracture/break. I’m hopeful it’s no more than a painful whack.

By the sounds of things you can add Lozowski to the list of walking wounded. #brutal

Suspect Sarries will be fine, at least in the short/medium term. They have the likes of Burger, Wray, Callum Clarke, Ben Earl, don Day, Nick Tompkins, Marcelo Bosch etc who can come in to fill gaps. Suspect they’ll patch up most of the injuries for next week anyway. French team, away from home on a plastic pitch, already lost a game at home...Sarries will prob win comfortably.

It’s England I’m worried about if both Vunipolas are out.

I'd agree with that based on what I observe, and yet injuries (and this may just be inaccurate and biased on my part) it does seem to affect English players more commonly that abroad. It's an issue everywhere, sure, but we seem to miss key players much more frequently.

The ABs seem to be very consistent with the players they're picking.

Like I said, that could well be wrong

I’d imagine that there is a string link between that and the number of games each set of players go through per season.

From the footage he looks like he does it falling over. Dunno, other than a fracture or some sort of overuse tendon problem the middle of your forearm is not usually a place you get a really painful injury. I fear the worst tbh.

Lodezki cites for the Fraser brown ruck and another incident. Probably looking at 4 weeks reduced to 2 for not being a dick during the hearing.

I'm hoping Puja will give me an extended ban. Im supposed to be working but instead I’m wasting my time wibbling about Universal Credit with Diggers on the politics board.
