I'd love to play again, but at the ripe old age of 69 my head tells me it's not a good idea. And another but, since I stopped playing, I've moved to France and I've seen some local club matches down here in the Haute-Garonne and there's no comparison whatsoever with turning out for the extra 4th XV playing against the likes of Westleigh, Derby, Sheffield Tigers, Newark etc. It seems to me that the sole objective of playing local club rugby here is to maim the opposition. So I'll stick with my memories, but then again, if I were to go back to England for the occasional Vets XV game..........

Oh god yeah. Went to a tour event here in Hungary to cheer on a mate. 2 local teams, 2 British, 2 French. The Brits were drunk, the locals crap and the French dirty as fuck. I mean seriously wtf dirty, not just aggressive.

Given the well deserved reputation of the French disciplinary process - is anyone surprised?

Uncontested again on Saturday. They only brought over 12 so we lent them 3. They had a 60 year old playing! Inspirational. Even if he was slow and not exactly powerful, he didn't shirk from anything.
