Wasps marketing are playing a blinder - big events planned around their "Christmas Cracker", lots of advertising, U16s go free, and they're apparently due to have a 32k sellout. Good work - here's hoping the rugby's good to get some of them coming back in the new year.

Yep. Good work.

On the pitch, is Sopoaga now just dropped?

Looks like. I don't think he's quite in Schuster territory, but there's no doubt his performances have been up to neither his rep nor his pay packet.

Tbf, he’s pitched up after the start of the season in to a fairly erratic and dysfunctional team. He’s also has to play outside three scrumhalfs and inside a brand new 12. If that weren’t enough, playing inside a talent and aura as huge and fearsome as Booj’s must be hard.

4 scrum halves. At least 2 different 12s (3 I think actually). Definitely not an easy time of it for a new 10.

Searle had a lot of pressure taken off him by Le Roux against Toulouse, but he did have a decent game.

He also had a pack in front of him that was willing to provide quick ball too, which helped

Expect a tight game. Not much between the sides i feel.
Wasps boosted by having Robson back. Hes been very keenly missed.

Robson has been sorely missed, he'll add so much to our attack. Have to say Hampson has looked better with more gametime though, his passing is still a bit iffy, but the extra gametime has sharpened it up a lot, would probably keep him ahead of Simpson, though Porter has looked very good too.

Bath had Chudley who did just fine. They were good winners. Hopefully they can kick on a bit and add some consistency to their play.
Robson did lift the Wasps effort when he came on, as did Hughes and the front row replacements.

Probably very much in a minority here but Austin just grows on me game by game. His ‘fart’ impression when Daly bottled it summed it up perfectly.

On the downside Kay is as boring as s....

As for the game, Bath were better in most departments and deserved the win. Cracking crowd and a ref determined to confuse all 30 players.

Austin has always been excellent. BT is excellent. I watched a stream of sky sports rugby during the autumn internationals and it was laughable. They aren't even on the same level. Listening to stuart barnes ramble on was embarrassing.

Healey is often good when actually talking about the game, though jizzing over Farrell/Tuilagi/Goode gets very annoying, it's his 'banter' that really grates. He does land a good joke every so often though.

Barnes has lost his mind. That other guy (Harrison?) has taken over in saying 'mesmeric' 15 times a game though so at least we have a successor.

Also I feel worth saying I think Chudley is really underrated. I don't think he's a star, or ever will be, but I'd just as happily have him as Youngs.

High praise I know.

BT made a smart move in separating him and Kay after the first season - they're both very good analysts, but they get too "banterlicious" when paired together.

Yeah, there's only so much of "forwards are thick, ROFL" - "nah mate, backs are wimps LOLOLOLOL" that anyone can reasonably take.

I agree. Not a world beater but consistently good.
