At last the Guardian got a rugby writer who knows what he's talking about, and Ben Ryan made an interesting post about depth charts.

Which got me thinking? What's England's? Now, I know, however many greens I put, however many times Diggers will be here saying none of them are world class... but still...

Looking at that, I'd say it means top 5 in their position in the world. Generous for Ford and George, miserly on Sinckler, but not so far off.Eugene Wrayburn wrote:Er, what definition are you using for World class?

Yeah, George might not be...but I think the majority are right, ish. But it does highlight our weak areas. Specifically SH, centre and the flanks. Though things are looking up at flank.Puja wrote:Looking at that, I'd say it means top 5 in their position in the world. Is someone like Launchbury world class when he might not play?

Btw to anyone who's red/green colour blind you've little chance of taking pertinent info from the OP, just in case you're wondering what's going on

Re: Depth Charts
I've no problem labelling the Vunipolas as world class, after that there's a number who're close but not there yet
