He’s much more of a 6 really. His technique at the breakdown is not great, nor his link play. He is though, a real talent. We are lacking a 7 at this age group after being spoilt over the last three years.
well he was excellent over the ball yesterday, and it was his link play i noticed as being excellent. So maybe he is getting better, oddly for a young chap.
Perish the thought :)

Tends to be a bit more head down with the ball and a bit more ‘go smash’ that subtle. I do like him. School wise he played at lot at 8. He’s definitely not going to trouble anyone intellectually, though that doesn’t mean he can’t play seven.

He did have a touch of the bosh, but I thought showed a degree of brightness in a lot of what he did. Impressive.

He's a mix tbh.
Lazy as fuck. He’s got all the talent in the world and the work ethic of a corpse
Reminds me a lot of Parisse actually - wonderfully talented, but sadly very, very aware of it, which leads to selfish play and behaviour.

I was saying he played intelligently.

Interesting to see who comes in for the players going back to their clubs and how well they can do without them.

I'm a tad biased, but I didn't think the England midfield were very good, especially defensively.

Glad to see they called out Hinkley's performance/improvement.

Is Fraser Dingwall injured? If not, I'd be a bit miffed if I were him- he's missing a chance to cement his place with Saints and not playing U20 either.

No idea if you're in the UK, but it's on s4c, so iplayer has it.

I'm positive there'll be other streams too, if you need one, ask closer to kick off and hopefully i'll be able to get one.

3-0 up at h/t. Too many errors in good attacking positions. defending well, though.

Poor to lose like that. Our own fault for not making it count when we got into good positions.
Thought Willis was outstanding.

Thought their scrum half knocked the ball on in a ruck a few phases before they scored.

Still, we butchered that 'try'. It was the right call to overturn it, but it was a needless mistake.

Switched over to watch Gloucester vs. Saracens.

I genuinely can’t believe we lost on the basis of what I saw. We looked massively superior in the first half.

Just couldn't finish our chances. Similar to the first game is how it felt to me, just not quite organised enough despite being the better side. I guess when you take away a large portion of the team, that'll happen. Still makes me feel quite confident for the jwc though.

I also thought Willis was good, needs to be careful about getting held up in contact, but definitely looked to have improved his physicality, hopefully he'll see some gametime next season.

Fraser Dingwall out for a few (more) weeks with a re-injured ankle, hopefully ok for the U20 World cup.
