I do enjoy a game like that from time to time! Well done to the forwards in particular, and well done Kenny Murray.

I don't think Tom english agrees with you.General Zod wrote:I do enjoy a game like that from time to time! Well done to the forwards in particular, and well done Kenny Murray.

Re: The Glasgow Carpet Burns and Cary Grant Appreciation Thread
It was a shtshow.
I was encouraged during the AI period when the second team was accurate and clinical. Now strong feeling of deja vu...going into the second half of the season, like last year the accuracy has dropped off massively in the set piece and open play. Still lots to play for, and returning hookers in particular should help to improve the line out.

Interesting to see how this goes. I would have thought Glasgow need somebody left at centre that isn’t in the national squad though.

That's strange but may be good for him. A very quick downfall for him at GlasgowMikey Brown wrote:Interesting to see how this goes. I would have thought Glasgow need somebody left at centre that isn’t in the national squad though.

Yeah. It wasn’t long ago I thought he was unstoppable for his defensive work, both for Scotland and Glasgow.
I wonder if injuries have got to him on another level now?

It's a good move for him. He needs games (when fit) and will be looking to show prospective employers he can still play at a decent level.

Big call to go up against his heir apparent for the Scotland 12 jersey in Williams though.Big D wrote:It's a good move for him. He needs games (when fit) and will be looking to show prospective employers he can still play at a decent level.

Well that was fun and a bit nerve racking. Turner very good and Fagerson got through 50 minutes. Not sure he looked fully fit but still put in a lot of work

Very good to hear on both counts. Did my boy Adam Ashe do anything to push his cause?

Did alright but nothing spectacular that I noticed. Should probably say that the defence was a bit of a shambles and they nearly blew a healthy lead in the last 5 minsMikey Brown wrote:Very good to hear on both counts. Did my boy Adam Ashe do anything to push his cause?

Its a real shame for George Turner that he has McInally and Brown in front of him
A very good player but cant see him getting near the team until one of those two get injured

And even if those two didn't exist it wouldn't change the fact that he's a club standard man at best at present.whatisthejava wrote:Its a real shame for George Turner that he has McInally and Brown in front of him

Hmm. Capable of being great but makes an insane number of mistakes at the moment.

Anyway on to a team that might actually win something in the near future (probably not)
Decent side all things considered.

What's up with Gibbins? Doesn't seem to be able to stay fit for very long at once.

Great to see Horne and Fagerson back. Fagerson could get himself that bench spot for the last couple of games if he goes well this week and next

That's a really young looking centre partnership but exciting to see what they can do. Wouldn't have happened if Dunbar hadn't gone to Newcastle?
A bit worrying that Nairn is immediately behind Steyn. And where are Masanga and Tagivne?

Not that worried at Steyn over Nairn.switchskier wrote:That's a really young looking centre partnership but exciting to see what they can do. Wouldn't have happened if Dunbar hadn't gone to Newcastle?

Steyn been with the 7s and Rennie may not have had a chance to look at him before.

RugbyPass is linking Glasgow to two fijian 7s boys - Nasoko and Kunavula (one a number 8). Trial in November which seems a long way off

Certainly making Rennie notice him since has come on.Big D wrote:Not that worried at Steyn over Nairn.switchskier wrote:That's a really young looking centre partnership but exciting to see what they can do. Wouldn't have happened if Dunbar hadn't gone to Newcastle?
