Bris play a very high risk game that can backfire. Some of their play today was naive and sloppy.
Thacker was just terrific and is a key man in the Bris setup.
Bath took their chances and did defend well. JJ had a touch of class about him.

Bristol have been naive and sloppy for the last few weeks and have to change several of the players or the tactics.

Fine line between laudable ambition and recklessness. Bris have to work out when to play and when not to.
They are, though, good to watch and Pat Lam is doing a great job in moulding a competitive squad.

I agree he looks good, but I’d question whether he’s good enough to get ahead of any of our current options on the wing and he doesn’t seem to be playing at 15 now Homer is fit.

He's good enough to be in the conversation, at wing or FB, but it's a place of strength for us (possible exception of FB, where we have several very good players who are slightly compromised at the back).
I think Ruaridh is best at FB, but I guess it's a more complex position to (re)learn after so long at 7s. His hands are wasted on the wing.
If he can keep a place in Bath's team next year, then at least one of Roko, Coka, Watson or Brew (all capped) out of the 23, and will deserve to be in the conversation.

That’s fair enough. I’d also like to see more of him at fullback. From what I’ve seen, he’s tough and strong (a bit reminiscent of a younger Mike Brown, but with more pace, better hands and an eye for a gap as you’d expect from a 7s convert). I haven’t really seen him tested under a high ball though and given that Watson has expressed a preference to play 15, he’s realistically competing for a starting spot at 11 or 14 next season.

I’d definitely have him as a contender for the Barbarians game.
