Game over I think. Deserved it, kept the intensity up for all the match.
Faz will get motm I'd think, but Itoje has been immense.

Itoje stats:
20 games started and 20 games won
Motm in the QF, SF and F.
Unbelievable.
Convex will be ordering the most expensive bottle of champagne on the menu.

9-21..F-plan.
Congrats..they've earned it over the years..
pleased for the journeyman-plus plsyers like Wiggo, Barritt, Taylor & Hamilton.
Great year for Kruis, Itoje, Billy V & Faz.
knowing how to win is a great thing.

Would you at least wait until Taylor is near his 30's before you call him a journeyman. He's 26, has 20 international caps, is Sarries' player of the year (?), European champion and Premiership champion.Galfon wrote:9-21..F-plan.

He is the business; Kruis wasn't at his best in terms of handling and a couple of lineout calls.............but they are a hell of a partnership, tremendous all round the park, tight and loose. Very reluctant to break that up, even for a fully in form Launchbury.Mellsblue wrote:Itoje stats:

..he's a very good 'team' centre now....does an awful lot well, and he is also pretty quick, with a decent kick. Unsung hero, rather than journeyman imo.Mellsblue wrote:Would you at least wait until Taylor is near his 30's before you call him a journeyman. Also 10 years since Wiggo & Charlo won the Prem with Sale. Hats off to their professionalismlsls.

yep to all that. For all that Wiggo gets stick, he works well in Sarries structure, and Charlie might have under achieved at intl level for his talent, he's never been anything less than an excellent club man.Galfon wrote:Banquo wrote:think you are a bit behind old boyGalfon wrote:9 - 18..Fazzle.

ok - apols. for any offence caused. He's been around for a while it seems and held his Sco. spot on merit against good other options, and continues to improve.Mellsblue wrote: Would you at least wait until Taylor is near his 30's before you call him a journeyman. Banq's 'unsung hero' tag is more apt. for him.

No offence taken. He came through Bedford's academy and played a season for the first team so is probably our biggest wholly homegrown success in a long time. I agree that he seems to and looks like he's been around a long time.Galfon wrote:ok - apols. for any offence caused. He's been around for a while it seems and held his Sco. spot on merit against good other options, and continues to improve.Mellsblue wrote: Would you at least wait until Taylor is near his 30's before you call him a journeyman. I would have to say Gobby Healey got it right when he said Sarries had been excellent and seem to be able to adapt to the opposition and conditions at will. A great team effort and not one poor performer unlike last nights game. How Wood can keep Goode out and Ash has to be back in the England squad. Faz gets better and better and Etoje England captain designate. Wiggy terrific kicking display again. A team to be admired, well done champions of Europe.

Initial disappointment when she appeared in a full length frock. But a quick twirl then a flash of flesh and I was spent.Len wrote:Hard. Almost had to have a danger wank when my missus left the room.p/d wrote:Brilliant stuff Sarries, you have been excellent all tournament. A richly deserved trophy.

2 of Sarrie's half-backs who have played consistently well at club level for a long time .
Meanwhile, Dawson gets carried away with the occasion...best pairing in Europe at the moment, probaby but yet to boss the best of the rest..
Saracens forwards Maro Itoje and George Kruis are the best second row partnership in the world according to England World Cup winner Matt Dawson.:
Itoje and Kruis played a key role in Saracens 21-9 Champions Cup final victory over Racing 92.
When asked if there was anyone better in world rugby, Dawson replied: “Absolutely not. These boys have got something else. They’re more athletic and read the game better.”
