I think that much more of a factor than education is that people only go to watch rugby in the UK because they want to watch the game (or have been dragged there by friends/relatives). Football has an ongoing history of association with far-right groups who I would guess tend to be less educated than average but who's visibility in football crowds and abhorrent views are massively over-represented compared to the british population either at large or filtered by level of education.

The problem is that we can't have it both ways. As long as money rules, microphones are going to be dangled and players are going to spout. The alternative is silence, sterile publicity environments and less money.

He has managed to turn a positive statement into snobbery. Not bad Mr. Shouty.

He's entirely correct.

Brexit is being driven by a bunch of corporate psychopaths and their cheerleaders who are the daytime television crowd. Poorly educated, the elderly, the unemployed, the unemployable, the football hooligans and the stay-at-home parents.

Thickies and lazy twats.
