An explanation for our second top try scorer of all time

Post by Puja »

Well, one of them, anyway.

Ben Cohen reveals that he's legally deaf and couldn't hear when anyone called for him to pass.

I've known a few wingers like that, alhough their hearing always seemed to pick up when you were in the bar and offering them a pint.

ETA. Hopefully no-one saw the first iteration of this post where I'd accidentally typed that he was legally dead. Would explain his form at Sale though.

I would never in a million years have guessed he was England's second highest try scorer. To be fair, I guessed at who was #1 and got that wrong anyway!

Here's a game: guess who the top try scorer is for each 6N/RC nation (all time). I'll put the answers on the stats thread so you can check your own work (or cheat, it's your conscience not mine). I got 5/10.

Fascinating to see that our top try scorer is also our 10th highest scorer of points (presumably none of them kicked?).

Can you be declared legally dead with an IQ of 0?

Does anyone remember Cohen even looking to pass much? I just assumed he was a typical English player and a bit of an unco
