Good signing and great partner to AWJ when they're both available and not on Wales duty but what about the young locks already there?

Not sure I agree, considering that neither Alun-Wyn or Bradley are top quality line out operators. Both are number 4's in reality, which will leave question marks over the line out especially if Lydiate is playing at 6. Add to that, both will be away with Wales at the same time Ideally the money would have been spent on a good quality NWQ number 5 who could have been a main stay throughout, helping Beard and Thornton to develop.
Having said that he is a step on what is currently there and I guess relatively cheap considering he's on a dual contract.
Time will tell how it pans out.
I was hoping they would bring in another full back to give Evans some competition.
