Just read the obit in yesterday's Times (a nice account, if a bit late!). He was obviously a fine man and, as stated above, a great loss.
I noted from the obit Mr Lochore was "lock/No 8, at 6ft 3 inches tall and weighed 15 stone". From better days, when even international forwards had vaguely human dimensions. He would have had to put on another 4 stone at least to play today
