Nigel owens

He used to be good but after missing Barclay last week he missed Jonny mays elbow sparkling Conor Murray and then decided that tualigi wrapping after a shoulder charge makes it a tackle. Never mind the numerous forward passes by England today that were ignored

He’s been off for a while but he shouldn’t be near a RWC

Really?

May's elbow was held by his hip and Murray nutted it as he was stepped in the tackle. And Manu led with his arms out - there was not a thing wrong with that tackle (albeit possibly more luck than judgement that the catcher's foot hit the floor).

If you'd talked about Stockdale getting away with clotheslining Curry after he passed for Daly's try, or Kruis being very lucky only to see yellow, or his occasional interesting view on the breakdown, I'd be with you.

ETA. Just watched the Kruis one again and we'll be lucky if he's not cited. Completely accidental, but it was a very bad contact. Stockdale definitely should be cited, but won't cause I don't think anyone noticed it in the excitement of the try.

Where's the fishing emoji?!

(Owens referees the game very differently to most referees, and the inconsistency makes it frustrating, but I'd prefer more refs like him than less -- Also, I dislike him as a touch judge as he seems to always try and stamp his view on the game)

Strange and incorrect examples - even if the thought of May ‘sparkling’ Murray makes me giggle. However, Owens is more interested in a flowing game than the laws. I suppose it’s an extension of ignoring crooked feeds etc so difficult for WR to complain about. It’s great for occasional viewers but bloody annoying for us savants.

If the first unread post is by a poster on my ignore list the thread loads the page but does not go to the last read post. The scrolling involved to find the last post can be very draining. Its not like clicks or anything but still.

Better behavior would be if 1st unread post is by ignored poster the first subsequent post by a non-ignored poster will be used as the 1st unread post. If the ignored posters post is both the 1st unread and the last post in the thread, then the first post by a non-ignored poster preceding that post should be used as the 1st unread post.

Reasonably shout, but the board's software is antiquated and probably couldn't cope with that. If we wanted to have a (sizeable) whipround to reimburse Hammy for an upgrade, then we could possibly do better, but as things stand, it's an occupational hazard of a free board that's not covered in advertisements.

...because I'm gullible?

You've got to admit, it made more sense than a lot of posters on the board.
