Nice that Barnes mentioned Watson failing to take a difficult high ball in contact rather than Faz kicking out on the full
It wasn't Farrell's fault, he just ran out of space, before kicking straight into touch

Peak Barnes. England not contesting any line outs. Lawes promptly steals the next one!!!

Farrell has been making an excellent argument for Ford at 10. The difference in our attacking game with him taking the ball to the line vs Ford is palpable. He's not picking the right options or he's picking them too early, or the pass isn't crisp enough and it's meaning we're not getting any momentum. Bring Ford on at half time and we'll see a different side.

Let's not risk an injury to Ford.

About half past
At the moment, I wish he had pulled out - he's been rubbish so far. Fair enough, it is his first cap, but his defensive alignment's been so poor that we're lucky this is only Italy.

A touch harsh. He’s not been rubbish, but hasn’t been great.

Canna has looked better than Farrell so far.

I think Wilson Curry is more balanced.

Robshaw’s looking smaller than Toby Flood!

So long as they swap jerseys :)

Can’t help thinking Curry playing 6 without a specialist 7 is negating some of his impact - he’s not shown much of his linking game so far and Wilson for all his good qualities is a carrier by instinct and certainly not a linkman.

Hopefully these injuries are just niggles and not anything too serious.

It'll probably be more entertaining than the first 50-odd minutes were

Any coincidence our tries came with Ford at 10?

Marler got 1 scrum at THP. LCD worry. Sinckler looked like a fudge to get Marler on at 3.

Marchant is so good.

I can just see Stephen Jones's headlines now - Farrell's support of Ford leads England to victory.

Yes - the Italy reserves made him look quite good.

Eddie has said, 'No major injury concerns' and that the initial pitchside investigations were promising.

I was terrified when I saw Sinckler coming off before I realised that Marler was returning and that he was likely just "injured" to give Marler a go at 3 (which achieved nothing as it saw one scrum that didn't even set properly). Got my heart in my throat though.

Why not start Genge in this game if he wanted to look at Marler there.

Watson looks more secure under the high ball than Daly. May more so. Anyone know if Johnny has ever had a run out at 15 ?
