Re: Premiership 7s
Good experience for the youngsters but I doubt many teams will invest too heavily in it. A chance to see some up and coming talent.
Spread over 2 days (Friday and Saturday) at Franklins Gardens.

Wasps 7s team
1 Will Porter (VC)
2 Gabriel Oghre
3 Sunni Jardine
4 Tim Cardall
5 Thibaud Flament
6 Ross Neal
7 Will Wilson (C)
8 Paolo Odogwu
9 Ben Vellacott (VC)
10 Jacob Umaga
11 Callum Sirker
12 Zach Kibirige
Some serious speed and size in that team. With a couple of ex 7s specialists.

No-one ever does. Complete waste of time.jimKRFC wrote:We don't seem to be taking it very seriously....
After the 7s we'll move to the ex-AWC - which no-one will take seriously, and is even worse than a complete waste of time, and a horrendously missed opportunity.

All the teams highlighting some very good young players who should be worth watching.
Not many 1st teamers involved over the weekend, but lots of very good, promising youngsters will get a run.

Sirkers pace is quite simply silly. And he makes it look so effortless when just eating up the yards.

Yeah, I’ve liked him since his Sale days. He never just quite makes it into the first teams of the Prem. he reminds me a bit of Jason Robinson in his style.Peej wrote:Odogwu is also a bit of a unit isn't he?

From the commentary sale tried to keep him out the gym. Looks like wasps taken a different approach. Feel free to workout if you don't lose speed.

Re: Premiership 7s
Please with Law, Browning and Steward all coming up from the U18's.
Browning and Steward are really built more for 15's granted but put in a good showing.
Lavin looked good also.
But then again it's only 7's and not a very high standard of 7, but would like to see them all involved next week.

Though nowhere near, by an enormous distance, his ability. He’s basically quick and that’s it.Shiny wrote:Yeah, I’ve liked him since his Sale days.
