I'm hoping the fact he was on the pitch on crutches at the end is something positive, as that looked like it could easily be a whole season out. Not seen anything official.General Zod wrote:Any news on Fraser Brown?

No idea of his chops as a coach but he's sure got some serious playing experience.

Sounds like he’s been helping a lot this season and pack seem to have a bit more bite to them. Always good to have a bit of specialisation when it comes to the scrum.

Happy with that but would be even more pleased if we announced a player signing or two for the first time in two years (other than kids).
EDIT - I suppose there is Steyn.

Yes, fingers crossed we hear something at some point. There is the small matter of only having Jackson and Thomson at fullback!

An email has gone out hinting at a rebrand/logo change announcing at 8am tomorrow.

I have heard that the SRU has purchased Firhill and they are going to be Glasgow Thistle. Honest.

I really don't see the point in this. Also who is that even meant to be on the left on the 'new era' banner? Horne?

Hard to tell if that's a tough draw or not. Exeter are great in the Prem, but often snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in Europe, who knows what La Rochelle's attitude will be, and Sale have signed well with the likes of De Jager, Oosthuizen, and many Du Preez, but it's anyone's guess as to if they'll be a functional unit.General Zod wrote:Glasgow drawn in Pool 5 for European Cup

Looks as good as could be expected to me. We know Glasgow can beat Exeter (Hoggys return is earlier than expected), La Rochelle are an unknown and there's a good chance that Sake prioritize the league. Nothing to he afraid of there.Puja wrote:Hard to tell if that's a tough draw or not. Fair draw. No easy groups but some of them look much tougher than this one. Nice to avoid Sarries and Leinster.

New loosehead from Highlanders. Not a priority position to strengthen inbut does have an impressive CV. It is a bit worrying that all the best looseheads in Scotland seem NSQ.

As a player he sounds exciting but it's a dumb signing. Glasgow have 5 looseheads on full contracts now. Moronic use of budget given Hogg hasn't been replaced.Cameo wrote:https://www.theoffsideline.com/glasgow- ... ki-seiuli/

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Anybody watch Glasgow Warriors tonight? Is the new branding struggling to make a positive impact?
Have heard they were diabolical but got a bit better when the impressive Dobie came on.

Shocking start to the season. Missing a few players but not as if the team is that weak. Somethings not right.

Looking at the team you'd say that there are upgrades away at 10, 9, 5, 4 and 2 (maybe one of the wings with Niko). Cumulatively makes a big difference. However when was the last time they played to their full potential? Last October?
