Surely the maul has to do with England's inability to adapt to refs.

Eddie said he wanted street smarts and a real fighter as captain. And, well, he's not picked anyone smart as captain.

We consistently struggle to adapt to different interpretations of the regulations, which is why our teams do so well in the Prem but then fail in Europe (Sarries aside).

So what do Sarries have that we don't?

While i agree, England do seem to persist without changing things, is failing to coadapt not just the same as losing?

I'd be slightly more accepting of our losses (or draws) if we changed how we were playing when we realised it wasn't going well…
