Agreed and it’s very frustrating. You know Ireland are always going to push the legality so why not try and keep them legal rather than just ignore it

Shall we have a sweep on the next to drop it? I’m going for red hat.

I don’t think team selection has made much difference unless we’re hiding a Test competent pack somewhere.

Would selection of head coach make a difference? We are miles off the pace. Miles.

Yes.

And yes, fair play Chris Harris. Good break.

Some of our best players in years, apparently, and we’re doing nothing with them.

I fear for us v Samoa.

You have to give Farrell huge credit.

This. Pack owned today. Gilchrist obviously the designated ball carrier and met with double teams every time, good coaching by Ireland. Flankers unable to make a dent and beaten at the breakdown, slow to get there. Props slight loss in scrum and missing otherwise.

As the game was gone long ago been watching Thompson closely and really unimpressed. He's mostly wandered up to look at a ruck and then wandered back out into the line. Doesn't look like he can keep the pace and certainly hasnt offered the carrying Bradbury would have.

We have been building towards playing the fastest rugby in the world in this fixture for the same amount of years as we’ve got points.

This is the problem with throwing your sub hooker on in the back row. Rambo having an off day and clearly fucked but can't be subbed.

If Watson is gone and it looks like he is. I'd rather see Ritchie and Bradbury on the flanks v Samoa than any combo with Barclay.

He'll never heard the end of those buzz words. Percentage rugby, winning rugby would have been far better.

One of Chib, Wilson or Barclay has to play too...

Didn't realise we could play 3 flankers to be honest.

So who are you sticking at 8?

Can't wait for the "we'll have to put this right next week" spiel.

Probably Wilson or Chib. They were poor Barclay looks finished at that level.

Yup. I wasn't happy with the Barclay selection in the initial squad.

Same here. Experience is no substitute for actually being able to run.

Yeah, sticking Brown at 7 seemed like a real admission that Barclay hasn’t got the legs anymore.
