Re: Eng v. Tonga - Match thread
The bench getting used pretty early, at least a lot of it...
Genge Cole, Kruis, Ludlam, Heinz, Slade all on.
What's happened with Slade? Joseph could come on with Daly going back to full back I guess.

I probably would have taken Billy off and wrapped him in cotton wool given our options at 8. I get impression he won't be starting against the USA.Adam_P wrote:Interesting to see Ludlam packing down at open side with Curry sticking at blind

To be frank, this has been god awful from England.
Seriously, only Underhill was good for me. The rest all poor, though it's hard to judge the backs outside 9 considering the dross served up by the pack.

That would be sensible, so I fully expect Billy will be flogged for another 80Insouciant wrote:I probably would have taken Billy off and wrapped him in cotton wool given our options at 8. This has been a surprisingly dull game!
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

We still don't have a bonus point.... that might add pressure to the Argentina and France games.

This is painful. We get no go forward from 10 with Farrell there at all, it's just labored until he suddenly fires it too flat and too hard at Itoje.
Cole made a few meters! Wow.
