Sanctioned by World Rugby and USA Rugby, the inaugural season of Norh America's competition is set to start with five teams based in the US before expanding to Canada next year.
No players or team names have been announced but four of the five cities have been announced in Columbus, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco
With one team to be named, notice a rather west coast flavour but I think it's probably down to facilities than anything else.
The season is expected to start in April so expect some major announcements in the next few weeks.

I can see some Southern Hemisphere players heading there after their stint in France
Also Henson may enjoy it

Re: PRO Rugby
It's good to see this happen, the demise of the SuperLeague was a rather sad state of affairs. Hopefully this will be supported by appropriate funding and a recruitment policy that solely revolve around touting failed College Football players!

Heard that the final team will be based somewhere in the Rocky Mountains area.

Originally yes but they've reduced it to five now.
