It was also what kiwi's used to call "accuracy " in the techniques. It's OK having the power, and knowing what you should do, it's doing it.
I though Sonny Billy looked predictable in his cameo, Just looking to pop and ping offloads about.

I guess selection for the final depends on the oppos? Thoughts?

I think it's got England v Wales all over it.

They were all absolutely great, best English performance in my lifetime. Usual slating of Farrell on here just too much as always, praise from Woodward also too much as always.

It’s a double edged sword. I think we have a better chance of beating Wales than SA but if they win they’ll be unbearable forever.richy678 wrote:I think it's got England v Wales all over it.

Itoje was insanely good. Our strength around the Rick area was incredible.
And I thought Faz was good. He played a limited role well second half.

Wales were so lucky against France. I think SA will do them, they're a better side overall.richy678 wrote:I think it's got England v Wales all over it.

Not so sure. With Halfpenny in the side SA discipline needs to be right on the money, which will be a tall orderTheDasher wrote:Wales were so lucky against France. I think SA will do them, they're a better side overall.richy678 wrote:I think it's got England v Wales all over it.

All those today in a white shirt were top drawer. The problem is SCW has a habit of driving in a wedge. As an aside thought Watson our best backTheDasher wrote:They were all absolutely great, best English performance in my lifetime. Well we know Heinz will be out, and possibly May, but agreed. Slightly worried that if we play SA Eddie will go back to Faz at 10 and consider (madly) a back row including Lawes.....unlikely, but,,..Which Tyler wrote:Unchanged barring injuriesBanquo wrote:I guess selection for the final depends on the oppos? Watson was superb. But Ford and Tuilagi were also excellent. Backs mainly let down by Young’s, who started well but faded badly.p/d wrote:All those today in a white shirt were top drawer. Don’t think Faz has been slated, but he did make mistakes in attack. I for one praised his guts.TheDasher wrote:They were all absolutely great, best English performance in my lifetime. Usual slating of Farrell on here just too much as always, praise from Woodward also too much as always.

Any injury news? Faz was limping. If it's a WC final do you reckon they will just pump them full of pain killers and hope for the best?

Was Sinckler okay when he came off?
Heinz looked crocked
May and Farrell question marks
Any others?

I think we've reached the stage that saying that he was anonymous whilst injured counts as slating.Banquo wrote:Don’t think Faz has been slated, but he did make mistakes in attack. Manu for me, I've no idea if it would have failed if our forwards weren't working as well as they were, but he disrupted their backline play constantly and it was great to see as passive defence fails against the ABsp/d wrote:As an aside thought Watson our best back

Quote honestly, Itoje, Curry, Underhill, Ford, Manu and Watson allmput in truly world class performances, probably the best any of them have played to date.

Watson was superb, don't think he put a foot wrong all night. Manu was very good in defence- our defence was pretty smart all night, despite missing a good chunk of first up tackles.Renniks wrote:Manu for me, I've no idea if it would have failed if our forwards weren't working as well as they were, but he disrupted their backline play constantly and it was great to see as passive defence fails against the ABsp/d wrote:As an aside thought Watson our best back

Yes you did praise him I know. He was playing like a "total spastic" according to one, throughout the thread he's get stick, read it back. It's just classless and tiresome when the man deserves credit, he was constantly at the coalface.Banquo wrote:Don’t think Faz has been slated, but he did make mistakes in attack. Anyway, Itoje just superhuman and seemingly we have the best flankers in world rugby.

I think each player gets stick when they make a glaring error; he made three in the first half. Youngs fared much worse in stick termsTheDasher wrote:Yes you did praise him I know. Just read the first 7 pages back, and Faz didn't cop much apart criticising his three mistakes in attack; I may have missed something, but not so bad. I called him a twonk for grassing the ball forward after a nice scissors with Ford (?). Hardly venomous.
