I know nothing about Musk. He sounds electric, though.

Ooh, is that my coat.

Good to have Sinckler back.

Bit more solid look to the Glaws pack.

Tight game, I suspect.

I worry that Gustard's continued picking of Lang over Saili is a sign of something...

Because there's no way those 2 are in the same ballpark in terms of skill.

Polledri impresses every time I see him, and not just as a highlights reel; thought Braley is coming on well as well.

;) It’s a big squad Quins have got

Braley I thought had come on, for Italy anyway, some very wayward passes an some a slowness to get to the breakdown last week against Montpellier. I’d actually put Chapman as our third choice 9 behind Simpson and Heinz I think.

Quins have a fairly big squad, but it’s mostly deeply average players. Losing Brown is a big blow considering Marchant is unlikely to play for us again before he heads to Auckland. Tapuai is also an underrated player for us who we’ll really miss over the next couple of months. We are looking very short of quality and I think we’re looking at bottom 3.

Funny how England’s numerous and severe training ground injuries dried up quite a bit after Gustard moved on....and now Quins suffering similarly.

Just coincidence I’m sure :|

I can’t remember when we last had an injury list below 10-15 to be honest.

Well, indeed. Our injury problems predate Gustard by a loooong way.

You have to go back to the title winning team to see a largely injury free squad.

Now we're lucky to only need to change 3 players week in week out...

Glos have been borderline pony all season so far, I’d like to think we can give you a good game at the stoop but we are contriving to lose at every opportunity currently. You may well be ok on Sunday....

If you’re going to the match, you know what to do. Harry’s father is a very good friend of mine and Harry was/is a legend. Please drink heavily.

I really don’t understand how it is decided which kits clash and which don’t. You see some very strange calls go both ways. It can’t all be a marketing thing?

Score a try to go ahead and then upon taking the restart use both our kickers to run successive crash balls in our own 22. Classic.

To me Glos looked to have the upper hand for most of that match and contrived to throw it away again with poor discipline and some wayward decisions. Very frustrating. Quins didn’t offer much in attack to worry the Glos defence. Comedy bollix from 36 with the pen that should have won it for us. All pony.

Yep. Very pleased with the win and the grit we showed but not a huge amount to impress from either side.

I was expecting Glos to kick on from a very promising season last year. Curious if something has gone wrong or the initial boost from Ackerman has just died off a bit?

Cips has definitely been off colour, and the entire pre season and tin pot cup games were fielded by academy or fringe players, so come season start there was definitely a feel of us being undercooked. Slater being out is a big deal for us too. I think maybe our attack has been worked out a little and our energy levels look lower than they should. I’m inclined to give JA the benefit of the doubt and a couple of home wins and drier pitches might be all that’s needed to turn the tide.

Might it help Cipriani and, therefore, the team if there was consistent/settled selection at 9 and 12? Alternating/rotating (dithering) or whatever it's called every-other game has to mess with the tactics. Cipriani, at his best, is about quick, flat passing. Something about the midfield is slowing his game and the result is too much depth and an inability to cross the gainline.
