Ford equally culpable in just giving the Saints easy ball.

Wow. Not sure I’ve seen a worse effort from Tigers. Lots of good players, playing like drains. Suspect Murphy needs to go.

We are utterly utterly woeful. Saints have put us away very effectively, but we look directionless and aimless. Plan A is just to kick the ball away to Northampton and give them an easy counterattack. Plan B is pass the ball 5m backwards to someone standing still, preferably slightly behind them, and watch them run ponderously into the nearest defender.

I cannot see what benefit Murphy is bringing to this squad. We aren't even a tenth of the sum of our parts.

Tigers surely need a big old clear out of the coaching staff. A few seasons back both Saints and Tigers were serving up dross. Since Boyd and his coaching team have taken over, our play has been revolutionised with a pretty similar playing squad, with some deadwood cut out. Tigers however have carried on being pony, possibly getting worse

Boyd has demonstrated the benefit of bringing academy players through as well.

Agreed. The tactics of aimlessly kicking the ball away are terrible, but he takes some responsibility for being a senior player who was presumably involved in the match preparation.

Absolutely. Although I say the playing squad is pretty similar, the matchday squad has changed a fair bit with Boyd putting trust in the young guys. Some of the older players, Wood in particular, seem to have kicked on under Boyd too

Saints were very impressive. There is a fluidity and pace about their attacking play that is really pleasing to watch. I thought Furbank looked all class, and I think Grayson is showing signs of developing into a top player. The Saints back row were all excellent.
Massive credit to the side in adapting to losing 3 starters on the morning of the match.
Tigers looked like they met up in the car park 10 minutes before kick off. That was an effort unworthy of the club.

Grayson doesnt seem to feature much in the conversation about the next generation of england fly half, but I think he is much more effective than Marcus Smith

Looks too much like his dad! Issue though is that he isn’t first choice at Saints and in fairness to Smith, he’s playing in a much poorer team- chicken and egg I guess.

I’m not sure if he’s more effective than Smith, but he has been very good so far this season and definitely warrants a mention as future England contender. I’ve been impressed by his composure and defence.

Smith is a bit more mercurial and unpredictable but Grayson is not just a proasaic kicking 10.

Tigers will do a world wide coaching search....and appoint Mike Ford.

Saints are an absolute breath of fresh air. Great to watch.

I mean they are already wanting to sell the club, and are unofficially looking at a couple of offers.
Borthwick and new backs coach rumoured to be coming in, trouble is the when in that department.

Tigers you got an issue of a pretty toxic situation.
The people who have sack the last 3 head coaches are still in power, despite the decisions doing nothing but further the decline of our play.

Now I like some of the things that has been done,
McGinty is a good person to have but he's not even been at the club what 6 months.
I think Lavanini, Taute and Liebenberg (Who we miss) are good signings.

BUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTT the bad's obviously outweigh the good.

Tigers have out of contract end of season I believe
Coaches
Bakewell
Ford
Blake

Players
Genge
Bateman
Gigena
T.Youngs
Polota-nau
Stevens
Cortes
Spencer
Thompson
Kalamafoni
B.Youngs
Ford
Eastmond
Thompstone
May
Holmes
Worth

I think it's time to let go most of those (Personally would keep 6 of those)

I think pointing to good signings is wide of the mark. There is no doubt you have plenty of good players, in fact you have a decent number of exceptional players. It's clearly a coaching issue, as the team is delivering way below the sum of its parts

I mean I was hardly putting it as that big a positive. in fact it was pretty much half a sentence.
