Carmichael has signed a new deal with Edinburgh.switchskier wrote:Gray leaving would leave Cummings, Davidson, Swindon and McDonald, with Harley offering some cover? Assuming Nakarwara isn't a long term signing that looks a bit short so they'd have to bring someone in you'd imagine.
It'd be nice if Exeter could send Skinner north in exchange but my money would be on Carmichael moving along the M8 as he's 24 now and not getting the game time he needs. It's a significant downgrade but perhaps the money could be better spent elsewhere in the squad.
Exeter will be a good move for Gray. A bit worried that he'll get played into the ground. So much of his game is based on constant attrition and the extra time off on an SRU contract should help to manage that.

This is mad. Two horrendous bounces have denied Warriors two tries either side of half time.

Jesus christ! Huw Jones! That's a hat-tricked of try-denying bounces now.
Not sure whether that is Jones or just horrific luck.

Johnson scores to make it 38-31. Sound familiar?

Your thoughts on the reffing from a neutral? Have any real effect on the outcome?Mellsblue wrote:Quality viewing. Best game I’ve seen all year.....

Average for both sides but the last 20/15 mins he seemed to turn against you. Not sure whether it was a run of infringements or the captain pissing him off but a switch was flicked.Mikey Brown wrote:Your thoughts on the reffing from a neutral? Yeah. That was pretty clear. Despite this tedious trial by committee and the 53.2 steps they have to go through to reach a decision, it’s still far too inconsistent.Big D wrote:The lack of red card for Gibbons counters that despite his last quarters performance.Mikey Brown wrote:Poite really hates Glasgow.

Anyone noticed Dell at all? Not been paying attention to LI’s teams.

Both teams could have won that by 10-15. Exeter were the better team for me but weeg got some bad luck with the bounce of the ball.
Poite was Poite and pretty shite, no excuse for missing Gibbons red card.
Was a great game though

I see. So we're somehow in a worse position at loose-head than before. Is it just the 6 nations we have to scrape through before Kebble qualifies? I'm not aware of Reid getting any time with Glasgow. So I guess Sutherland?
Saying all that. I don't know why I posted it in this thread.

Re: The Glasgow Carpet Burns and Cary Grant Appreciation Thread
So Ulster are effectively through as the best of the second place teams with 17 points so far. Gloucester and Northampton both take wins this round to leave them on 14 points, as are Sarries who won despite playing a man down for all but five minutes against the Ospreys (two men for ten minutes). Glasgow have 12 points. Sarries do have do have to play Racing next week and Gloucester take on Tolouse, though Northampton should beat Lyon.
So basically come on Russell and Gray to do your former club a helping hand and Glasgow still need concentrate on doing the business against Sale.

Quite pleased with that. Him and Cummings next season will be good to watch.
It is also a start in reversing the narrative around stars leaving Glasgow.

Gray, Cummings and Nakarawa is a great trio of second rows (if Naka stays next season) with some good backup too.

Not a chance in hell that Naka stays.Cameo wrote:Gray, Cummings and Nakarawa is a great trio of second rows (if Naka stays next season) with some good backup too.
But if he did...
Cummings/Gray
Naka/Gibbins/Fagerson
would be some fecking unit.
