Looks a good team. Bonus point win away is always a big ask though. If they get it, I've got a feeling it might just get them through though.

Northampton with the comeback to heat Lyon. Now need Tolouse and Racing to come through.

If the weeg had looked this aggressive throughout they would not be needing favours.

That try by Turner was absurd.

The Saracens news can't be good for Glasgow. They've nowt to play for in the league now.

Is McInally even in the match day squad after that? Best I have seen Brown go, ever, I think... maybe move McInally to LH?

Great job - not pleasant relying on French teams though. Toulouse and Racing Metro are two of the best but must I'd say there's maybe a 50% chance of them both doing it.

Any chance anyone can be bothered to explain what results need to happen?
I’d thought Glasgow were cooked and not been paying much attention until yesterday to be honest.

If Saracens or Gloucester win then they're out. If either Sarries or Glous draw with a bonus point then Glasgow are also out. If they both lose then Glasgow are the eighth seed and play away to Lenister (where they lose).Mikey Brown wrote:Any chance anyone can be bothered to explain what results need to happen?

And through an incorrect decision by Nige Sarries get the win

Would be rather funny. Hopefully the saracens boys in the england team aren’t thinking about it tomorrow...
Or Sean Maitland!

The precedent is pretty clear. That should be Glasgow as the 8th qualifier.

No go, Saracens just fined and stay in competition. Tbh getting humped by Leinster in Dublin might not have added anything to Glasgow's year.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Pretty sure both Agen and Grenoble have been docked points for doing the same thing in the past.
Racing 92 are pursuing this further btw. They want the home QF.
I wonder how much of this is commercially motivated though - a lot of the QFs have sold a decent amount of tickets.

A fun home win v Zebre. Two for Horne, two on debut for Dolokoto after a great cameo from Steyn. Dobie also played 25 mins and made a 70 metre break

Racing aren't pursuing it. Very very angry but not going to court.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Pretty sure both Agen and Grenoble have been docked points for doing the same thing in the past.

Agen were banned for 2 years from europe for basically throwing a wee cup match which meant nothing to them. Their president was alleged to tell the players not to tackle in case they got injured. His defence everyone does it. everyone didn't, but pretty much everyone puts out weak teams after they cannot qualify (for the latest just look at Sale's lineup v the Weegies). Its a big problem which everyone recognises bit no-one so far has a solution, best I've seen is to divvy up the competition money so that instead of getting your lot for quaifying, make a portion (or all) dependent on how many match points you get

It's a long time ago, granted but it's still precedent.septic 9 wrote:Racing aren't pursuing it. Very very angry but not going to court.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Pretty sure both Agen and Grenoble have been docked points for doing the same thing in the past.
