Ireland v Italy postponed

Post by Sandydragon »

Just been announced on the BBC, due to concerns over the transmission of the Coronavirus, the game is postponed with no alternative date set as yet.

Probably only a matter of time before Italy v England is also called off. If France win their remaining 2 games then its academic, but if they slip up to Ireland or Scotland then the Six Nations may not be decided until later in the year.

Well that's one way to avoid a decision on retaining Murray and Sexton

It wouldn’t surprise me f it were cancelled. Italy is a real problem now and the idea of thousands of travelling fans isn’t a great idea. I suppose the games could be played in closed stadiums but if there are more outbreaks on the continent then I think they might pull the plug for this year.

Still some things are more important.

You are NOT Bill Shankley and I claim my £50.
