Irish have surprised a lot of people this season. They are a team that is greater than they appear in paper. They've picked up big results, and without their "superstar" signings

They're big and powerful. Depending on the weather and Wasps defense, they could easily do well (unfortunately).

Yep. Most of their better performances haven’t included the likes of Phipps, Naholo and Kepu and I doubt Sean O’Brien will ever actually appear in a London Irish jersey.Peej wrote:Irish have surprised a lot of people this season. Coleman and Rona are the only big signings who have really stood out and in the main it’s been the lesser-known players like Hassell-Collins and Rogerson that have been winning games for them. Cowan has had a fantastic resurgence as well.
I wonder if they’ll change their policy a bit for next season and invest in good Premiership players rather than big names who have a 50/50 success rate.

Not entirely sure how we won that. Awful in the first half, only enlivened by how much flak the touchjudge was getting for ignoring wonky throws, then dare I say it, Lima came on and everything got better.
Willis was immense.
